Prof. Mingyue He studied geology and mineral engineering at
the Department of Geology, Wuhan Geological Institute, from September 1980 to
July 1985 and obtained a bachelor's degree. He studied mineralogy at the
Beijing Graduate School of Wuhan Geological Institute from September 1985 to
July 1988 and obtained a master's degree. he studied mineralogy, petrology, and
mineral deposits as an on-the-job graduate student at China University of
Geosciences (Beijing) from September 2000 to July 2003 and obtained a doctoral degree.
He has been engaged in teaching and research work at the China University of
Geosciences (Beijing) since July 1988. From July 2022 to present, he has been serving as the
Director of the "National Rock and Mineral Fossil Specimen Resource
Library" on the national platform of China University of Geosciences
(Beijing). His research directions include gemology, mineralogy, petrology, and mineral
deposit studies.
