Ricardo Santos Silva Amorim is an agronomist from the Federal Rural University of Rio de Janeiro (1997) with a master's (1999) and doctorate (2003) in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa, and a Post-Doctorate in Soil Science from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2011). He was a Professor at the Department of Soils and Rural Engineering at the Faculty of Agronomy and Animal Science at the Federal University of Mato Grosso (DSER/FAAZ/UFMT) from 2005 to 2019, where he was the coordinator of the graduate program in Tropical Agriculture from 2012 to 2019. He is currently an Associate Professor IV of the Agricultural Engineering Department of the School of Agriculture of the Federal University of Viçosa/Campus in Viçosa (DEA/CCA/UFV). He is accredited in the Graduate Programs in Tropical Agriculture at FAAZ/UFMT and in Agricultural Engineering at DEA/CCA/UFV. He has experience in Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on soil and water conservation, working mainly on the following topics: hydrology, hydrological monitoring, and modeling in watersheds, soil and water management and conservation, soil water and solutes dynamics, and soil water erosion model.
Demetrius David da Silva is a Full Professor of the Department of Agricultural Engineering of the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV), Brazil, and a Research Productivity Fellow of Cnpq with a BSc in Agronomy (1987), master’s degree (1990) and Ph.D. (1994) in Agricultural Engineering from the Federal University of Viçosa. He was the President of the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV (2019–2023). He has experience in the area of Agricultural Engineering, with an emphasis on Planning and Management of Water Resources, and Soil and Water Conservation, working mainly on the following topics: water resources management, ecohydrological modeling, surface runoff, water erosion, and modeling.
