Mohsen Ahmadkhani received his Master’s in GIScience from the University of Minnesota in 2021, and is now pursuing his PhD in Geography (GIScience). He works as an HPC Software Development Engineer at South Dakota State University. His research topics mainly include: AI, Image Semantic Segmentation, Generative AI, GIS, Deep Learning and Geospatial Computing.
Eric Shook received his Ph.D. degree in Geography from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Campaign in 2013. He is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geography, Environment, and Society at the University of Minnesota in the Twin Cities. He is also the Director of the GeoCommons, a collaborative hub for geospatial research, education, and public engagement at the University of Minnesota. Dr. Shook's research combines geographic information science and computational science in an area called geospatial computing.
