He holds a PhD in Geoinformatics/Remote Sensing Engineering and also has a degree in electronic engineering and a master's degree in embedded systems. Sergio has more than six years of experience in remote sensing and photogrammetry. He has worked as a teacher and research assistant at the Instituto Tecnológico de Costa Rica and is currently pursuing his PhD studies on acquisition systems with unmanned aerial systems and machine learning approaches based on remote sensing data. In this project, he will be in charge of software development and remote sensing data collection.
