Prof. Yanli Zhang currently works as a Professor and Doctoral Supervisor at the Jiangsu Livestock Embryo Engineering Laboratory, College of Animal Science and Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University, China. She is the Post-Scientist of the National Sheep Industry Technology System and the Deputy Chief Expert of the Jiangsu Province Sheep Industry Technology System. She obtained a Bachelor of Agronomy in Animal Science at Hunan Agricultural University, a Master’s Degree, and a Ph.D. in Animal Genetics, Breeding and Reproduction at Nanjing Agricultural University. She was a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Davis. She does research on genetic breeding and reproduction regulation of mutton sheep, embryo engineering, and pluripotent stem cell differentiation. She also serves as the Executive Director of the National Herbivore Health Production Innovation and Technology Alliance and Director of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Animal Reproduction Branch.
