Renata Gašparová received her PhD in organic chemistry from Commenius University in Bratislava in 1998. She effectuated two post-doctoral stays in France: with Serge Masson (ISMRA, Caen) and Catherine Guillou (ICSN, Gif-sur-Yvette). Then, she joined the Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Ss. Cyril and Methodius in Trnava, Slovakia. She was appointed associate professor in 2011. Her current research is focused on the synthesis of biologically active chromene and furan-derived heterocycles.
