Pritam Saha is a PhD student in Chinese philosophy at East China Normal University (ECNU), Shanghai. His doctoral research focuses on Chinese-Indian comparative philosophy, with a specific emphasis on a comparative study between the Laozi 老子 or Daodejing 道德經 and the Bhagavad-Gītā. He holds a master’s degree in Chinese philosophy from ECNU, where he wrote his master’s thesis on Neo-Daoist philosopher Wang Bi 王弼. His research interests primarily include classical Chinese philosophy, including the Laozi, the Lunyu 論語 or Analects, and Wei-Jin Xuanxue 魏晉玄學 (Neo-Daoism). Additionally, he is also interested in both classical and modern Indian philosophy, particularly through the lens of commentaries on the Bhagavad-Gītā and overall Vedānta philosophy. Saha seeks to explore the rich philosophical dialogues between Chinese-Indian traditions through his work.
