Fanbin Kong is a professor at the College of Economics and
Management, Nanjing Forestry University. He received an MS from Nanjing
Forestry University in 1994 and a PhD from Chinese Academy of Forestry in
2002. From 2004 to 2005, he worked as a visiting scholar at BOKU University.
From 2007 to 2012, he was a postdoctoral fellow at Beijing Forestry University.
He has been a senior visiting scholar at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He
received a postdoctoral certificate in Ecology from the Chinese Academy of
Forestry in 2019. He is now the Dean of the Institute of Digital Forestry and
Green Development at Nanjing Forestry University. He is an expert who enjoys
special government allowances from the State Council. He is the Vice President
of the China Rural Development Society and a member of the editorial board of
the journal Forestry Science. His research interests include sustainable
development, ecological economics, environmental management, environmental
impact assessment, and sustainability management.
