Geunseok
Yang is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and
Engineering at HanKyong National University. Before beginning his academic
career, he built extensive experience in the tech industry, working for five
years as a Software Developer, AI Developer, and Data Scientist in Seoul
Shinmun Corporation, Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC), and Kookmin Bank
Corporation (KB Bank). He graduated from the Korea University of Technology and
Education in 2013 with a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering, then completed
his M.S. and Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Department of Computer Science
at the University of Seoul in 2015 and 2020, respectively. His research
interests include Retrieval-Augmented Generation Small and Large Language Models
(RAG-sLLMs), Large Language Models (LLMs), Small Language Models (SLMs), and
Large Multimodal Models (LMMs) with applications in software engineering. He
focuses on leveraging these advanced models to drive AI-powered DevOps, agile-based
microservice architectures (MSA), KubeFlow with Kubernetes (K8S/K9S),
multi-cloud architectures, and the integration of AI and data science to
enhance software engineering processes.
