Prof. Manuela Maria Viana Miguel is a Scholarship Professor in the discipline of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and Traumatology at Instituto de Ciência e Tecnologia (ICT), Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is also a Research Assistant and Doctoral Student in Periodontics in the Postgraduate Program. She specializes in Applied Statistics from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. Her skills and expertise include randomized clinical trials, periodontal plastic surgery, and tissue repair.
Maria Cristina Marcucci is a Collaborating Professor in the Oral Biopathology Program at the School of Dentistry at Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Sao Paulo, Brazil. She is a member of the Technical Chamber of Herbal Medicines of ANVISA. She has a degree in Chemistry from the State University of Campinas and a Ph.D. in Sciences from the State University of Campinas. She did a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Phytochemistry Laboratory of the Center for Edaphology and Applied Biology of Segura, Murcia, SCIC, Spain. She has research experience in chemistry, with an emphasis on the chemistry of natural products, and she works mainly on the following topics: chemical composition, the antibacterial and antioxidant activity of bee products, and herbal medicines.
Cristina Pacheco-Soares is a Researcher/Professor at the Laboratório de Dinâmica de Compartimentos Celulares, Universidade do Vale do Paraíba, São José dos Campos, Brazil. She earned a master's degree in Microbiology from the State University of Londrina in 1992 and a Ph.D. at the Universidade Estadual do Norte Fluminense Darcy Ribeiro, Campos Dos Goytacazes, Brazil, in 1998. She has experience in microbiology and biosciences, emphasizing cytotoxicity and genotoxicity, cryo-ultramicrotomes, cryofracture, and confocal microscopy.
Luciane Dias de Oliveira is a full Professor of Pharmacology and Clinical Therapeutics in the Dentistry course at the Institute of Science and Technology, Universidade Estadual Paulista "Júlio de Mesquita Filho", Sao Paulo, Brazil. She was a coordinator of the Postgraduate Program in Oral Biopathology (UNESP) and the Postgraduate Program in Applied Sciences for Oral Health (CASB-UNESP). She holds a degree in Dentistry (1998), a master’s degree (2002), a Ph.D. in Oral Biopathology (2005), and a Post-Doctorate in Oral Biopathology (2009) from the UNESP. Her main areas of expertise include phytotherapeutics, antimicrobials, anti-inflammatories, multidrug-resistant bacteria, cell culture, cytokines, cytotoxicity, and genotoxicity.
