Feng Gao is a professor at the College of Animal Science and Technology, Nanjing Agricultural University. He received his PhD in basic veterinary medicine from Nanjing Agricultural University in 2001. He was a visiting researcher at the University of New England, Australia, from 2006 to 2007. He has worked at the Department of Animal Husbandry, Nanjing Agricultural University since 1993. He served as the party secretary of the College of Animal Science and Technology from 2014 to 2024. He is a director of the Animal Nutrition Branch of the Chinese Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (2020-), a director of the Education Development Foundation of Nanjing Agricultural University (2021-), the vice president of the Jiangsu Provincial
Society of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine (2022), and a director of the China Animal Products Processing Research Association (2018-). He has presided over 17 projects, including 3 national projects, 1 provincial and ministerial project, 9 prefectural and municipal projects, and 4 other projects, and participated in 9 projects, including 6 national projects, 1 provincial and ministerial project, and 2 other projects. He has obtained many patents. His research directions include animal nutrition and physiological regulation, meat quality, and safety control.
