Changzheng Yuan is a research professor at the Zhejiang University School of Public Health, a doctoral supervisor, a double-appointed professor at the Second Affiliated Hospital Zhejiang University School of Medicine, and an adjunct assistant professor at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She received her B.M. in Preventive Medicine (2010) and her B.A. in Economics (Dual-Degree, 2009) from Peking University, and her M.Sc. in Epidemiological Methods (2012) and her Sc.D. in Nutrition and Epidemiology (2015) from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. She is a nutritional epidemiologist with a solid population-based-studies background in dietary assessment, nutrition and health. Her current research mainly focuses on population studies of nutrition and cognitive decline in aging and related endostasis and immune aging mechanisms.

Geng Zong is a Professor and Principal Investigator at the Shanghai Institute of Nutrition and Health (SINH), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), Shanghai, China. He received his PhD from the Institute of Nutritional Sciences, CAS, in 2013. He completed postdoctoral training as a Marie Curie Research Fellow under European Union Framework 7 and then at the Department Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. His research has covered the impacts of diet, lifestyle, and environmental risk factors of cardiometabolic disorders in clinical trials and multiple cohorts globally. His research areas include the application of nutrient biomarkers in epidemiological studies; diet and lifestyle risk factors of type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases in cohort studies; persistent organic pollutants in relation to obesity and type 2 diabetes risk; and dietary intervention on cardiometabolic risk factors.
