Dr. Fahrettin Eldemir is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Industrial Engineering at the University of Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He earned his Ph.D. in Decision Sciences and Engineering Systems from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, USA, in 2003, where he also completed his M.Sc. in Operations Research and Statistics in 1999 and his B.Sc. in Industrial and Management Engineering in 1997. Dr. Eldemir's research interests span across optimization theory and methods, heuristic approaches, discrete-event simulation, production planning and control, facility layout and design, manufacturing systems modeling and analysis, and engineering and technology applications. His expertise extends to both academic and industrial applications, particularly in the fields of industrial engineering and production management. With a rich academic background and extensive research experience, Dr. Eldemir has made significant contributions to the advancement of engineering systems and production optimization.
Dr. Mustafa Egemen TANER is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Industrial Engineering, Tarsus University, Turkey. He completed his bachelor's and master's degrees at Pamukkale University, Department of Industrial Engineering, and earned his Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering from Yıldız Technical University. Dr. Taner has over a decade of academic experience, having served as a Lecturer at the Quality Management and Data Evaluation Research Center at Pamukkale University (2010–2021) and as a Lecturer Dr. at the Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering, Turkish Military Academy, National Defense University (2018–2019). Since 2021, he has been a faculty member at Tarsus University, focusing on teaching and research in industrial engineering. His research interests include logistics management, lean production, digital transformation, optimization, and quality assurance. He is also a certified DDX Digital Transformation Consultant, contributing to both academic and practical advancements in the field.
