Dr. Mingtai Chen is an Assistant Teaching Professor with graduate faculty status in the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at North Carolina State University. He teaches experimental aerodynamics (MAE 253, 352, and 451), aerospace structures (MAE 372) laboratory courses, and fluid mechanics (MAE 308). He earned his Ph.D. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Alabama in 2021, his M.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Toronto in 2014, and his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from Shenyang Aerospace University in 2006. His research interests include experimental aerodynamics, urban air mobility (UAM) aeroacoustics, active flow control, and wing-in-ground vehicles.
