Prof. Dr. Weiming Guan received a B.Sc. degree in Mining Engineering from Xinjiang University, in 2005, an M.Sc. degree in Mechanical and Electronic Engineering from Xinjiang University, in 2009, and a Ph.D. degree in Mining Engineering from China University of Mining and Technology, in 2018. From 2005 to 2006, he worked at the Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Coal Science Research Institute. Since June 2009, he has worked in the School of Geology and Mining Engineering at Xinjiang University. He is a professor, master's and doctoral supervisor, and a director of the Mining Engineering Department. His research interests mainly focus on intelligent mines, ecological restoration of mining areas, and numerical calculation of geotechnical engineering.
