Anna Viola is a PhD student in Medical and Surgical Biotechnology and a researcher in Gastroenterology at the Department of Clinical and Experimental Medicine, University of Messina. She graduated with her medical doctor degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Messina, Italy. She then completed her residency in Gastroenterology and Hepatology (Policlinico of Palermo, 2014–2016), in U.O.S.D. of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (Policlinico of Messina, 2016–2017), and in U.O.S.D. of Digestive Endoscopy (Policlinico of Messina, 2017–2018). Furthermore, Anna Viola is a member of the IG-IBD, the Italian Group for the Study of Inflammatory Bowel Disease, the ECCO, the European Crohn's and Colitis Organization, and the SIED, the Società Italiana Endoscopia Digestiva.
