Ning Zhang is an Associate Professor at the College of Fisheries, Guangdong Ocean University. She graduated from Inner Mongolia Normal University with a bachelor’s degree in biotechnology in 2009 and from Ocean University of China with a master’s degree in marine biology in 2013. She received her doctorate from the Ocean University of China with a major in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2016. From 2016 to 2023, she was a Lecturer at the College of Fisheries, Guangdong Ocean University. Since 2024, she has been an Associate Professor at the College of Fisheries, Guangdong Ocean University.  She is a young doctoral talent introduced by the Guangdong Province “Yangfan Plan” and a “South China Sea Young Scholar” of Guangdong Ocean University. Her main research direction is algae biology and biotechnology, and her work focuses on the development of microalgae resources and the research on ecological restoration technology of aquaculture environments. She has presided over one National Natural Science Foundation Youth Fund and one Guangdong Provincial Youth Science Fund. She has participated in many national, provincial, and ministerial scientific research projects. She won one provincial teaching excellence award and a second prize in marine science and technology.
