Kathlynne F. Eguia is currently a PhD candidate in the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, Hong Kong SAR. She is an experienced paediatric physiotherapist with expertise in neurodevelopmental disorders, and she researches motor learning strategies for children with neurodevelopmental disorders. She obtained her MSc in Adapted Physical Activity from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven in Belgium through an Erasmus Mundus scholarship. She is a member of the World Physiotherapy through the Philippine Physical Therapy Association.
Sum Kwing Cheung is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Early Childhood Education at the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. He obtained his PhD from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His recent research interests include young children’s
mathematical development and the home learning environment. He has professional experience in teacher education and has been invited by the Education Bureau and different institutions to conduct professional development workshops for in-service kindergarten teachers. He has also served as the Consultant for a children’s television programme on multiple intelligences and a teacher’s guide on how to create play-based learning centers in the kindergarten classroom.
Kevin K.H. Chung is a Chair Professor of Child Development and Special Education, and Director of the Centre for Child and Family Science at the Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong SAR. His research and teaching focus on developmental dyslexia and learning disabilities, literacy acquisition, assessment and instruction, cognitive and social-emotional development, and inclusive education. He is an elected Fellow
of the Association for Psychological Science (APS), Fellow of the International Academy for Research in Learning Disabilities, a Voting Member of the Society for the Scientific Study of Reading, and current President of Association for Reading and Writing in Asia.
Catherine M. Capio is an Associate Professor in the Department of Physiotherapy at the Hong Kong Metropolitan University, Hong Kong SAR. She is an experienced physiotherapist who has since focused on research in recent years. She obtained her PhD from the University of Hong Kong and trained in psychomotor therapy as an international scholar at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven. Her research is in the areas of motor
development, motor learning, and physical activity promotion. She is a founding member of the International Society of Research and Advocacy for Developmental Coordination Disorder (ISRA-DCD), and a member of the leadership team of the Healthcare SIG of the Asia-Pacific Society for Physical Activity.
