Márcio Duarte Albino dos Santos is an Invited Assistant Professor at the University of Coimbra and a PhD Researcher at its Department of Mechanical Engineering. He holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Coimbra and a master's degree in the same field from the University of Aveiro. His research focuses on thermodynamic systems for energy conversion and storage, with a particular emphasis on Carnot batteries, organic Rankine cycles, and cogeneration systems. He is published extensively in high-impact journals and has presented at numerous international conferences. With experience in coordinating and participating in both national and international R&D projects, he has also supervised multiple PhD and MSc theses. His academic and professional career reflects a strong commitment to advancing low-carbon technologies for the energy sector.
