Dr. Miroslava Atanassova is Senior Scientist at Møreforsking AS, Ålesund, Norway. She completed her PhD studies in Molecular and Cellular Sciences at the University of Nantes, France in 2003 and has been awarded the UNESCO-L'OREAL for Young Women in Science Fellowship Award in 2001 for her PhD project. She recently led the HOLOSUSTAIN project and is the lead of the HEU BLUES project for Møreforsking. She has published 40 papers in various journals and books, and serves as a PhD and MSc supervisor, as well as a project manager for several different research projects. Her research disciplines and interests include peptide bioactive compounds, proteomic analyses, materials in ECM structures, probiotics, associated microbiota, sea cucumbers, and echinoderm cell cultures.
