Dr. Leandro Mantovani de Castro is an Assistant Professor at the Universidade Estadual Paulista (UNESP). He completed his Ph.D. studies in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) at the Federal University of São Paulo. His teaching disciplines include cellular biology, histology, and embryology, and his research interests include cellular and molecular biology and the use of mass spectrometry for the characterization of the function and metabolism of proteins and peptides, with an emphasis on the bioprospection of these bioactive molecules in marine organisms and their role in response to environmental changes.
