Dr. Chrysothemis Paraskevopoulou is an associate professor in rock mechanics at the University of Leeds. She completed her Ph.D. in tunneling through a joint research project between Queen’s University and ETH Zurich in 2016. She has also served as a visiting lecturer at Warwick University in the UK and an adjunct professor at Queen’s University in Canada. With over 65 publications in international journals and conferences, her research focuses on geo-engineering innovative design, resilient and sustainable geo-structures and infrastructure, and their societal impact.
