Fei Tian is an Associate Professor at the College of Water Resources and Civil Engineering, China Agricultural University. She earned her Ph.D. from Beijing Normal University in 2012, then, was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Research Center for
Eco-Environmental Sciences, Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) (2012–2016) and at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation, CSIRO (2014–2015). She also serves as a member of the American Geophysical Union (AGU) and the Geographical Society of China (GSC). Her main research interests include precise sensing and efficient utilization of agricultural water information (application of satellite remote sensing in agriculture; application of aerial drone remote sensing in precision agricultural information monitoring; regional agricultural water consumption response to changing environment) and hydrological water resources (hydrological forecasting and uncertainty; water resources and food security).
