Mónica Ruiz-Casares, PhD, Professor, School of Child and Youth Care, Toronto Metropolitan University and Adjunct Professor, Department of Psychiatry and School of Social Work, McGill University. She leads mixed-methods studies on children rights and wellbeing internationally, mainly in low- and middle-income countries, with migrants and refugees, and in contexts of parent-child separation. She is a Credentialed Evaluator with the Canadian Evaluation Society and Co-Chair of the International Society for Child Indicators.

Helal Hossain Dhali is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) and a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Course Lecturer at the Department of Integrated Studies in Education (DISE) at McGill University. He also serves as a contract faculty member at Bishop’s University and was previously an Associate Professor in the Department of Women and Gender Studies at the University of Dhaka. He holds a Ph.D. from McGill University and an M.A. from Erasmus University in the Netherlands. With 17 years of research and teaching experience, Dr. Dhali has worked at various national and international universities, including McGill University, Bishop’s University, and Dhaka University. His areas of expertise include Social Inequality, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies; Race and Ethnicity; Coloniality and Decolonization; Mobility and Diaspora Studies; and the Sociology and Philosophy of Education. He has taught over 15 undergraduate and graduate courses, supervised around 60 theses and monographs, and conducted multiple independent and collaborative research projects. An innovator in participatory methodologies, he developed the "Active Participatory Discussion Session (APDS)" approach for research and teaching. His work has been recognized through awards such as the FRQSC Doctoral Research Fellowship and the CANSES-CPNPREV Postdoctoral Fellowship.

Dr. Milagros Calderon-Moya is a Visiting Scholar and a Fonds de recherche du Québec – Société et culture (FRQSC) Postdoctoral Fellow at the Immigration Initiative at Harvard University, as well as a Research Scientist at the Boston University Wheelock Institute for Early Childhood Wellbeing. She earned her M.A. in Educational Leadership and her Ph.D. in Educational Studies from McGill University. Her research examines the experiences of immigration among both children and adults from minority and vulnerable populations. Dr. Calderon-Moya’s work contributes to the fields of intercultural education, multilingual literacy, and dual-language development, aiming to inform more inclusive educational practices and policies that support culturally and linguistically diverse learners.

Dr. Guzder is currently a Clinical Professor and the Co-Director of Social and Cultural Program, University of British Columbia as well as retired Professor, McGill University. She is a psychiatric consultant for VICCIR (Vancouver Island Refugee Counseling Services) and ICYMH (Indigenous Child and Youth Mental Health). She is the former head of Child Psychiatry at the Jewish General Hospital (McGill Teaching Hospital) and founding clinical director of McGill Cultural Consultation Service. She is an artist, trainer, and advocate for global children and family mental health.
Dr. Ratna Ghosh is a Distinguished James McGill Professor Emerita at McGill University where she was the Dean of Education. Reappointed as the Professor of Education in the Department of Integrated Studies in Education, she is currently the Principal Investigator for a national research grant on women and climate change in a remote area of India. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Canada, she is also a Fellow of UNESCO-TWAS, The World Academy of Sciences-for the advancement of science in developing countries. She was President of the Comparative and International Education Society (CIES), U.S.A., and appointed an Honorary Fellow. She was President of the Shastri Indo-Canadian Institute, a bilateral organization for academic exchanges between India and Canada. Her honors include Member of the Order of Canada, Officer of the Order of Quebec and Officer of the Order of Montréal; and Member Émérite de l’ Ordre de L’Excellence en Éducation, Gouvernement du Québec.
