Dr. Afana Andreea Sorina graduated from the University of Medicine and Pharmacy Craiova, Romania, where she is currently pursuing a PhD focused on genetic cardiac disorders. She is a cardiology resident with a specialization in multimodal cardiovascular imaging at the MIRACL.ai Laboratory (Multimodality Imaging for Research and Analysis Core Laboratory and Artificial Intelligence) at Lariboisière University Hospital (AP-HP) in Paris, France. Her training at MIRACL.ai was supported by a research grant awarded by the Romanian Society of Cardiology. In addition, she completed a 1.5 year fellowship at the Expert Center for Rare Genetic Cardiovascular Diseases within the Emergency Institute for Cardiovascular Diseases with Prof. Dr. C.C. Iliescu in Bucharest, Romania.
