Dr. Sagar Galwankar is residency-trained and board-certified in internal medicine and emergency medicine in India and the United States, respectively. He holds prestigious Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians, UK, The American College of Academic International Medicine, and The Academic College of Emergency Experts of India. He also holds a double Master's in Public Health and Business Administration. Currently, he is the Director of Research in Emergency Medicine at Florida State University (FSU) and serves as a core faculty for the FSU Emergency Medicine Residency Program, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital in Florida. He is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the INDUSEM Collaborative for Health & Medicine.
Dr. Hassan Al-Thani is the Head of the Trauma and Vascular Surgery Sections and a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from the Royal College of Surgeons in Ireland and completed his surgical training in both Qatar and Canada. He completed his training in trauma and vascular surgery at McMaster University Health Sciences, Canada. After completion of his training, he joined Hamad General Hospital as a Senior Consultant in the Department of Surgery in 2004. In the same year, he established the Vascular Surgery Section. Dr. Al-Thani was a Board Member of Hamad Medical Corporation from 2006 to 2008, the Chairman of the Organ Transplant Committee from 2008 to 2009, and a Board Member of Weill Cornell Medical College in Qatar from 2008 to 2012 and has been an Executive Board Member of the Gulf Vascular Society since 2007 and President of the Gulf Vascular Society since 2009.
