Prof. Dr. Yanjun Liu received his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. degrees at the School of Geographical Sciences, Northeast Normal University. From July 2009 to June 2018, he served as a lecturer, associate professor, and professor at Northeast Normal University, and currently, he is the vice dean of the School of Geographical Sciences. His research areas include human geography, urban and regional planning, urbanization, urban spatial structure, and regional development, and his recent research focuses on urban growth and contraction, the transformation and development of resource-based regions, and urban and regional planning.
