Dr. Lilach Gavish, PhD, MPH is a senior research associate at the Faculty of Medicine, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and head of the PBM unit at the IRMM. She serves as the treasurer of the World Association of Laser Therapy (WALT) and is a member of its executive board. With a multidisciplinary background in biology, physics, microbiology, public health, and medical sciences, she focuses on translating photobiomodulation (PBM) research from bench to bedside. In her current work, she explores dynamic thermal imaging in response to PBM challenges for diagnostics and investigates PBM-induced changes in mitochondrial kinetics in preclinical experimental systems. She has received WALT’s Young Investigator Excellence Award in PBM Basic Sciences.
