Dr. Junya Li received a BS from Zhelimu Animal Husbandry College in 1990, an MS from Jilin Agricultural University in 1995, and a PhD from Chinese Agricultural University in 2002. He was a postdoctoral fellow at Cornell University from 2004 to 2007. Dr. Li is a researcher with more than 25 years of experience in the genetics breeding of beef cattle. He is the leader of the cattle genetic breeding innovation team at the Beijing Institute of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, and the secretary-general of the China Simmental Breeding Committee. His research interests include molecular quantitative genetics and bioinformatics.
