Dr. Maciej Spiegel is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Organic Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology at Wroclaw Medical University, where he conducts molecular modeling simulations of pharmacologically active substances. He holds both a Master of Pharmacy and a PhD from Wroclaw Medical University, having completed his doctoral dissertation with distinction in 2023. Following his doctorate, he initiated research projects on senotherapeutic agents, anthraquinone-based photosensitizers and antisense oligonucleotides. A member of the Polish Pharmaceutical Society and the French Medicinal Chemistry Society, he has established international collaborations and completed internships at institutions including Chimie ParisTech and the Weizmann Institute of Science, among others. He has been recognized by local and national bodies with the Rector’s Award for Scientific Achievement, the Rector’s Award for PhD Students Under 30, the Ludwik Hirszfeld Scholarship from the Municipality of Wroclaw, the Polish Academy of Sciences Wroclaw Branch Award for Scientific Achievements, the “Złoty OTIS” Scholarship for Outstanding Young Researchers, and the Polish National Science Centre “Preludium” grant. In 2023, he was named to Stanford University’s World’s Top 2% Scientists list. He has published in renowned journals like *Food Chemistry*, *Angewandte Chemie*, and the *Journal of Chemical Information and Modeling*, and frequently serves as a peer reviewer for Q1 journals.
