Author Biographies

Dr. Yingying Xu is a Lecturer at the School of Foreign Languages, Dalian Maritime University. She completed her PhD studies in Foreign Linguistics and Applied Linguistics at Shanghai Jiao Tong University in 2015. Her main scientific research project is the Youth Project of Liaoning Social Science Planning Fund: “Processing Mechanism of Frame Sequences in Chinese EFL Learners and Their Influencing Factors”. Her research interests include second language acquisition and corpus linguistics.
Prof. Yang Yu is an Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Dalian Maritime University. He completed his PhD studies in English Language and Literature at Korea Maritime & Ocean University (KMOU) in 2018. He currently serves as the Director of the Teaching Center at the School of Foreign Languages, Head of the English Department, and Professional Leader at Dalian Maritime University. He has published 10 papers indexed in SSCI, SCIE, SCOPUS, KCI, and other databases. He has presided over three research and teaching reform projects and participated in more than ten projects from the Department of Social Sciences of the Ministry of Education (major projects) and other sources. He is an anonymous reviewer for the journals Environment and Social Psychology (indexed in SCOPUS) and Current Forum, and an associate member of The Korean Association for Corpus Linguistics and The Korean Association of Language Sciences. His research interests include corpus linguistics, discourse analysis, academic English, maritime English, quantitative research methods in linguistics, and etymology.
