Colette Breheny received her Bachelor of Science degree in Polymer Technology from Athlone Institute of Technology in 2003 and is currently in the final stages of her PhD in Polymer Engineering at the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS), Athlone Campus. She began her career as a medical device designer at Medtronic, where she worked from 2003 to 2017. In 2017, she transitioned to academia, joining Athlone Institute of Technology as a Lecturer. With the establishment of the TUS in 2021, she continued her role and was Programme Coordinator from 2021 to 2024. Her research focuses on smart polymers, thermochromic materials, and sustainable packaging solutions.
