Prof. Dr. Guodu Liu was born in 1982 in Shaanxi Province, China. He received his B.S. degree in 2004, M.S. degree in 2007, and Ph.D. degree in 2012 from Northwest A & F University. He was a visiting Ph.D. student during 2009–2011 with Prof. Xumu Zhang at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. After two years of postdoctoral research with Prof. Wenjun Tang at Shanghai Institute of Organic Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences, he worked three and half years with Prof. K. C. Nicolaou at Rice University as a Robert A. Welch postdoctoral research associate. From 2018, he took his current position as a professor of organic chemistry at Inner Mongolia University. His research interests are in the areas of ligand design, organometallic asymmetric catalysis, drug-oriented natural product total synthesis, and synthetic chemical biological study of active molecules of traditional Chinese medicine.
