Dr. Ajaz Ahmad Bhat is an Assistant Professor at the Department of Mathematical Sciences, Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST), Awantipora, India. He completed his PhD in statistics at the University of Kashmir, where he specialized in the development of new probability models through mixture and power transformation techniques. He has been honored with several academic awards and recognitions for his contributions to statistical research. He recently led significant projects focused on actuarial modeling, simulation-based comparative studies of estimation methods and real-world applications of novel statistical distributions, particularly in medical and engineering domains. He has published more than 18 research papers in various reputed international and national journals and actively serves as a reviewer and editorial board member for statistical and interdisciplinary journals. Dr. Bhat also contributes to research projects in the areas of survival analysis and probability distribution theory. His teaching disciplines include probability theory, statistical inference, sampling theory, optimization, statistical quality control and reliability theory. His current research interests include the development of flexible probability distributions, simulation-based estimation, medical data modeling, actuarial science and applications of statistical methods to engineering and social sciences.
