Dr. Diana Laura Sirghi has worked at CREF as part of the “QUBO project–“Exploring the QUantum Boundaries of many-body systems–an Odyssey into the gravity-related collapse models” since 2022, where she carries out research activities dedicated to the development of advanced methods for energy calibration and data analysis for precision X-ray spectroscopy. In 1997, she started working at the Faculty of Physics of the University of Bucharest in the Department of Elementary Particles. Her earliest research concerned studying the kinematic conditions necessary to produce the baryon resonance Delta(1520) in electroproduction reactions. In 1992, following her win at a national competition at the National Institute of Nuclear Physics in Bucharest (IFIN-HH), she worked as a researcher in the Department of Particle Physics. From 2002 to 2022, she worked at the National Laboratories of Frascati, undertaking scientific activity dedicated to the study of exotic atoms within the international collaborations DEAR, SIDDHARTA and SIDDHARTA-2, and AMADEUS at the DAΦNE accelerator and the verification of the fundamental principles of physics as part of the international VIP and VIP-2 collaborations at the Gran Sasso National Laboratories. She was a member of the Management Board for the European projects (FP6, FP7) HadronPhysics/2/3 (2004-2014).
