Dr. Maija Lahtela-Kakkonen currently serves as an Associate Professor at the School of Pharmacy, University of Eastern Finland. She received a Master of Science in Organic Chemistry and her PhD in Physical chemistry at the University of Joensuu in 1992 and 1997. She worked as a Software applicant at CSC-IT Center for Science Ltd. Prof. Anna Zaghini currently serves as a Full Professor at the Department of Veterinary Medical Sciences, University of Bologna. She obtained a PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Technologies at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Bologna in 1980. She was the Person in charge of the Pharmacology and Toxicology Unit-DSPVPA (1999-2014), the Director of the DSPVPA (2006-2010), and the Head of the School of Agricultural and Veterinary Medicine (2012-2015). She is a Member of the Reference Group for the Pharmacovigilance of Regione Emilia-Romagna (Italy). Prof. Dr. Mauro Dacasto currently serves as a Full Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at the University of Padua. He received his PhD in Epizoology, Epidemiology and Chemotherapy of Parasitic Diseases in 1993, and the ECVPT Diploma in 2002. His research interests mainly include mammalian and avian species toxicogenomics; expression, regulation and function of drug metabolizing enzymes and transporters; nutrigenomics; natural toxins mechanistic toxicology; target cancer chemotherapy.
Prof. Mery Giantin currently serves as an Associate Professor in Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology at the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science, University of Padua (UNIPD). She received her Ph.D. in Veterinary Sciences (Public Health and Comparative Pathology) at UNIPD in 2008. Her research interests mainly include comparative in vitro and in vivo studies on the expression and regulation of drug metabolizing enzymes and drug transporters, studies on xenobiotic molecular and cellular toxicity (mechanistic toxicology), veterinary pharmacogenetics and toxicogenomics, veterinary and comparative oncology, and targeted therapy.
