Prof. Frederic Harb is a Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and Medical Sciences at the University of Balamand, Tripoli, Lebanon. He earned his Master’s degree in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Université Pierre et Marie Curie (Paris VI) and completed his Ph.D. in Biophysics at Aix-Marseille University within the CINaM laboratory, where he focused on lipid membranes and membrane proteins. His research spans the electrophoretic behavior of membrane protein mixtures, diabetes and its complications—including neuropathy, cardiopathy, and nephropathy—and the impact of demyelination on the peripheral nervous system. He is currently investigating the therapeutic potential of mesenchymal stem cell-derived exosomes in treating cancer and other diseases. Prof. Harb has received multiple awards and recognitions for his contributions to biomedical research and is actively engaged in mentoring and scientific development in the field of translational medicine.
