Prof. Yin-Tien Wang received the B.S. degree from Tamkang University (TKU), New Taipei City, Taiwan, in 1983, the M.S. degree from Stevens Institute of Technology in 1988, and the Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylvania in 1992, all in Mechanical Engineering. He joined TKU's Department of Mechanical Engineering as an Associate Professor in 1992 and was promoted to full Professor in 2013. From 2016 to 2020, he served as Chairman of the Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering at TKU. In 2020, he founded and chaired the Department of Artificial Intelligence, serving until 2023. Currently, he is a Professor in the Department of Mechanical and Electro-Mechanical Engineering and holds a secondary appointment in the Department of Artificial Intelligence, where he oversees courses in Robotics and Machine Learning. His research interests include machine learning and deep learning, with a particular focus on their applications in both robotic and non-robotic domains.
Min-Jie Hsu was born in Taipei, Taiwan, in 1993. He received the B.S. and Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering from National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, in 2015 and 2023. He is currently an Assistant Professor with the Department of Artificial Intelligence, Tamkang University, New Taipei City.  His research interests include artificial intelligence, deep learning, AI chip design, and reinforcement learning.
