Duygu Gokce is an Associate Professor in the Department of Architecture at Duzce University, Turkey, and a Fulbright Postdoctoral Scholar (completed) who conducted research at the State University of New York at Buffalo’s School of Architecture and Planning. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in architecture from Gazi University (Turkey), an MSc in Architecture and Civil Engineering from the University of Bath (UK), and a PhD in Architecture from the University of Liverpool (UK). Her research explores the interplay between typological and morphological transformations and perceived residential satisfaction, with a particular focus on environmental psychology. She has published widely in the areas of urban morphology, urban design, and planning, and has presented her work internationally. Her recent Fulbright award expanded the international scope of her research beyond Europe. Currently, her work aims to bridge theoretical frameworks and design practice by incorporating resident perspectives into spatial planning and design guideline development.
