Prof. Dr. Maria-Carmen Alfaro-Rodríguez is a Professor at the Departamento de Ingeniería Química, Escuela Politécnica Superior, Universidad de Sevilla. She completed her Ph.D. in Chemistry at the University of Seville in 1997. She is part of the research group "TEP 943: Applied Rheology of Colloid Technology", whose laboratories are based in the Chemical Engineering Department (Faculty of Chemistry, Seville). She is also a member of the Specialized Group of Rheology (GER) within the Royal Spanish Society of Chemistry (RSEQ). Her research interests include the characterization of surfactants and detergents, the formulation, processing, and characterization of emulsions, nanoemulsions, emulgels, and nanoemulgels, the rheology of these, and the rheology of biopolymers.
