Rauf Mukhamedshin: Leading Researcher,   Head of the Laboratory of Neutrino Atrophysics,   Institute for Nuclear Research of Russian Academy of Sciences,   Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. I was born on December 3, 1948. In 1966, I entered the Tashkent State University, and in 1970, I transferred to the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University. I graduated from Moscow State University in 1973 and immediately entered the graduate school at the MSU. From 1976 to the present, I have been working at the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Currently, I am a leading researcher at the INR RAS and the head of the Laboratory of Neutrino Astrophysics. With my participation, about 250 scientific papers have been published. My scientific interests are superhigh-energy cosmic-ray physics and astrophysics, physics of elementary particles, hadronic interactions, simulation of nuclear-electromagnetic cascades using the Monte Carlo techniques. Work description: analysis of experimental data on EAS and X-ray emulsion chambers, and simulation of hadronic interactions and nuclear-electromagnetic cascades in the atmosphere using the Monte Carlo technique.
