Rauf Mukhamedshin: Leading Researcher,
Head of the Laboratory of Neutrino Atrophysics,
Institute for Nuclear Research of Russian Academy of Sciences,
Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences. I was born on December 3, 1948. In 1966, I entered the Tashkent State
University, and in 1970, I transferred to the M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State
University. I graduated from Moscow State University in 1973 and immediately
entered the graduate school at the MSU. From 1976 to the present, I have been
working at the Institute for Nuclear Research of the Russian Academy of
Sciences. Currently, I am a leading researcher at the INR RAS and the head of
the Laboratory of Neutrino Astrophysics. With my participation, about 250
scientific papers have been published.
My scientific interests are superhigh-energy cosmic-ray physics and
astrophysics, physics of elementary particles, hadronic interactions,
simulation of nuclear-electromagnetic cascades using the Monte Carlo
techniques.
Work description: analysis of experimental data on EAS and X-ray emulsion
chambers, and simulation of hadronic interactions and nuclear-electromagnetic
cascades in the atmosphere using the Monte Carlo technique.
