Prof. Dr. Daniel Guillen is currently with Tecnologico de Monterrey. He received the B.Eng. degree in Electrical Engineering from Instituto Tecnológico de Morelia, México, in 2007, his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon, Mexico, in 2010 and 2015, respectively. He was an associate professor at the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico from 2016 to June 2018 and is currently with Tecnologico de Monterrey. His main research interests are power system protection, wide-area monitoring, and signal processing.
Dr. Jesus E. Valdez-Resendiz is an assistant professor at Tecnologico de Monterrey, Monterrey, Mexico. He received a B.S degree in electronics and an M.Eng degree in electrical engineering from Instituto Tecnologico de Ciudad Madero, Mexico, in 2009 and 2011, respectively, and a Ph.D. degree in electronic engineering from the Centro Nacional de Investigacion y Desarrollo Tecnologico, Mexico, in 2016. From 2016 to 2017 he was a postdoctoral fellow at Tecnologico de Monterrey. His research interests are energy conversion systems, power converter topologies, electric and hybrid vehicles, and energy management strategies.
