Author Biographies

Prof. PerMagnus Lindborg is a media artist and researcher. A 2023 Arctic Circle Fellow and Principal Investigator for Multimodal Hong Kong (GRF 2023–25), he has been commissioned globally and published widely. He founded the DACA Conference and Soundislands Festival, and is Vice-President (Asia-Oceania) of the International Computer Music Association and Associate Professor at City University of Hong Kong.
Lok Him Lam, Ryan, is a public policy researcher who actively engages with the broader social science discipline. He holds a Master of Public Policy degree from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, and is a Graduate Teaching Assistant at City University of Hong Kong. As a Research Assistant for Multimodal Hong Kong (GRF 2023–25), he was responsible for project administration and data collection.
Yui Chung Kam, Bavid, is a researcher in urban policies. He was a Research Assistant at City University of Hong Kong for Multimodal Hong Kong (GRF 2023–25) in the period of 2024–25 where he investigated how soundscape and smellscape contribute to the perception and cultural significance of urban spaces, particularly within cultural sites such as Wong Tai Sin Temple.
Ran Yue, Oksana, is a doctoral candidate of City University of Hong Kong, whose research focuses on urban sensory environment, specifically soundscape and smellscape. She explores sensory perception in public spaces in Hong Kong, the enhancement of urban experiences through AR, and user interactions.
