Author Biographies

Celia Gaona-Romero received her BSc in Biochemistry and MSc in Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Málaga, and is now pursuing a PhD in Biomedicine, Translational Research, and New Health Technologies. She conducts her research at the Biomedical Research Institute of Málaga (IBIMA Plataforma BIONAND) as a member of the Molecular Cancer Biology group, and is funded by a Predoctoral Fellowship from the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC). Her research topics mainly include the basal-like molecular subtype across tumor types and the identification of non-coding RNA biomarkers for early breast cancer detection using liquid biopsy approaches.
