Author Biographies

Cosmina-Mihaela Rosca is a PhD Senior Lecturer in the Department of Automatic Control, Computers, and Electronics, Faculty of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Romania. She received her PhD in systems engineering, with the distinction “Magna Cum Laude”, from the Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Romania, in 2018. She has published over 42 papers in journals and conference proceedings and 10 books and book chapters. She has received two awards for the Best Paper in 2023 and 2024 and the Best Woman Researcher Award in 2024. She is a reviewer for the following journals: PeerJ Computer Science, Journal of Computational Science, Applied Sciences, Discover Applied Sciences, Journal of Supercomputing, Mathematics, Discover Artificial Intelligence, Electronics, and Discover Computing. Her major research interests include artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), deep learning (DL), the Internet of Things (IoT), digital twin, sensors, and databases.
Adrian Stancu is a full professor in the Department of Business Administration, Faculty of Economic Sciences, Petroleum-Gas University of Ploiesti, Romania. He completed his PhD studies at the Bucharest Academy of Economic Sciences, Romania, and his postdoctoral studies at the Romanian Academy. He has published over 90 papers in journals and conference proceedings, four books, and eleven book chapters. He is an associate editor and reviewer of 15 international journals (Routledge, MDPI, and IGI Global). He has received two awards, including the Best Researcher in 2024. His interests include food and non-food science, product quality and forgery, consumer behavior, consumer protection, and artificial intelligence and IoT applied in economics.
