Author Biographies

Dr. Carmine Siniscalchi is a distinguished medical researcher and physician, specializing in internal medicine and cardiovascular diagnostics. He earned his Medical Degree (Laurea Magistrale in Medicina e Chirurgia) with a score of 110/110 cum laude and special mention from the University of Campania Luigi Vanvitelli in 2009. Following this, he completed his specialization in internal medicine at the University of Parma in 2015, again achieving the highest marks with honors. He further pursued a Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Medical Sciences at the Department of Medicine and Surgery, University of Parma, which he completed with distinction in 2017. To enhance his methodological expertise, he obtained a Second-Level Master’s Degree in Epidemiology and Biostatistics for Clinical Research from the University of Milano-Bicocca in 2021. Since May 2022, he has served as a Contract Professor in Internal Medicine at the University of Parma’s School of Specialization in Cardiovascular Diseases. In this role, he actively contributes to the training of future medical specialists and supervises graduate and postgraduate thesis projects. His main research themes are venous thromboembolism, pulmonary embolism, venous thrombosis, cardiovascular imaging, internal medicine, and angiology.
