Maria Botella López is a Lecturer at the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Valencia, where she has been teaching since 2023. She earned her Master’s Degree in General Health Psychology in 2018 and is currently completing her PhD in Psychology. Since 2019, she has been working as a specialist psychologist in the field of addiction treatment, gaining experience in both clinical practice and prevention. Her research focuses on binge drinking and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD), with an emphasis on understanding risk factors. She is a member of the Spanish Scientific Society on Alcohol, Alcoholism, and Other Drug Addictions (SOCIDROGALCOHOL).
Maria Teresa Cortés Tomás is a Full Professor in the Faculty of Psychology, Department of Basic Psychology, University of Valencia. She has an extensive academic and research career, with her work primarily focused on binge drinking and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (FASD). Over the years, she has made significant contributions to understanding the psychosocial and clinical aspects of alcohol consumption, leading research projects and publishing widely in these areas. She is the Director of the research group Psychosocial Aspects of the Addictive Process (GIUV 2021-504). In addition, she currently serves as Vice President of the Spanish Scientific Society on Alcohol, Alcoholism, and Other Drug Addictions (SOCIDROGALCOHOL).
