Miklós Fagyas, MD, PhD, MSc, is an associate professor at the Division of Clinical Physiology, Department of Cardiology, Faculty of Medicine, University of Debrecen, Hungary. He received his medical degree in 2008 and his PhD in 2014 from the same university, followed by board certification in Laboratory Medicine (2015) and the European Specialist in Laboratory Medicine qualification (2020). He obtained habilitation in Clinical Medical Sciences in 2021 and earned a Master’s degree as a Health Care Manager in 2023. Dr. Fagyas’s research focuses on the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS), angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) and ACE2 biology, cardiovascular biomarkers, sarcoidosis, and COVID-19-related pathomechanisms. Among others, he is a member of the Hungarian Society of Laboratory Medicine (MLDT) and the IFCC Task Force for Young Scientists.
