Jorge Renato Pinheiro Velloso is a Biologist with a Master’s
degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Pampa. He
researches the ecology and systematics of Myxomycetes from Brazil and
Antarctica. He is currently a doctoral candidate in the Graduate Program in
Biological Sciences at the Federal University of Pampa, working on the project “Ecology
and Distribution of Myxomycetes in Antarctica.” He has also worked at the
following institutions: UNIPAMPA (Federal University of Pampa), UFPE (Federal
University of Pernambuco), and UFMG (Federal University of Minas Gerais). He is
a member of the Brazilian Myxomycetes Research Group at the Federal University
of Pernambuco.
