Young Investigator Award

We are pleased to announce that the winner of the IJERPH 2022 Young Investigator Award is Dr. Michael Bertram.
Dr. Michael Bertram is a researcher in the Department of Wildlife, Fish, and Environmental Studies at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. He received his PhD in Biological Sciences from Monash University under the mentorship of Professor Robert Wong and Dr. Minna Saaristo. In his brief career to date, he has been very productive. Michael’s research offers important insights into the environment, studying the exposure of wildlife to chemical pollution such as pharmaceuticals and endocrine-disrupting chemicals, which have important ecological and evolutionary implications. His publications have appeared in leading international journals, including Science, Trends in Ecology & Evolution, Current Biology, Biological Reviews, Proceedings of the Royal Society B: Biological Sciences, Environmental Science & Technology, Science of the Total Environment, Environmental Pollution, Biology Letters, Hormones and Behavior, Chemosphere, Biological Invasions, and Behavioral Ecology. He also has been fairly successful at securing funding for his research, having received 34 highly competitive research grants.
Dr. Bertram is clearly a rising star in this field and his outstanding achievements are duly noted in the receipt of this prestigious honor. Please join us in congratulating Dr. Michael Bertram as the winner of the IJERPH 2022 Young Investigator Award.
As the awardee, Dr. Michael Bertram will receive an honorarium of CHF 2000, an offer to publish a paper free of charge before 31 December 2023 in IJERPH after peer-review, and an electronic certificate.
